BackgroundThe SoftEdge is a successful and established company that made its name supplying government relations professionals with innovative software solutions beginning in 1990 with Congress Plus, the company's first product. The ChallengeThe SoftEdge needed to convert Congress Plus from a desktop application to an online web application that could be offered to customers using an application service provider model. SolutionWebworld used the client’s detailed requirements and documentation on the existing desktop product to plan out development of the new web-based application. The application would work with The SoftEdge’s existing database of Congressmen and Senators and their aides. Working with the client every step of the way, the Webworld developer constructed the application and asked for client feedback and approval at agreed upon milestones to ensure the new application would meet all requirements.
